Marcie Siciliano, MS.ED, CAS, MHC, CAMS-1 is LICADD's agency’s new Assessment, Referral and Education Specialist and the Coordinator of the Anger Management Program. Marcie will be working with individuals and families who are battling addiction and those with anger management issues.
Marcie holds a Masters’ of Science in Education with a specialization in School Counseling from Hofstra University and an Advanced Certificate in Mental Health Counseling. Marcie noted, “my passion for working with adults, adolescents and families who are battling addiction, developed as a result of my professional experience of helping people in crisis in the emergency room.”
She is also focused on how anger issues can affect someone’s life to the point that it interferes with their family and work situations. In her new role, Marcie is looking forward to expanding LICADD’s Anger Management program to include a program for adolescents.
“I am excited to extend my work with LICADD’s dynamic team,” Marcie explained, “and as a mental health professional, I look forward to taking an active role in providing support to Long Island’s families -- whether through substance abuse and addiction services or the anger management sessions.”
