Amanda Cioffi, LMSW

Education & Training Supervisor

Amanda Cioffi brings her knowledge and energy to LICADD’s team as Education and Training Supervisor. Amanda is a Licensed Social Worker in New York State. She is a graduate of Stony Brook University’s School of Social Welfare where she received her Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in Trauma. She previously graduated from Iona College with her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Prior to joining LICADD’s team she has worked with at-risk youth at PS. 117 in the Bronx, the geriatric population in the healthcare field at Montefiore Hospital as well as with victims and survivors of abuse at L.I Against Domestic Violence. Amanda utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities including mind-body interventions, DBT and CBT. Her vast experience in the field allows her to engage and motivate clientele towards achieving their goals of overall wellness.

As Education and Training Supervisor, Amanda coordinates LICADD’s Student Assistance Program which provides evidence-based psychoeducation, prevention, early identification, family intervention, referrals and support groups for students impacted by the devastating problem of drugs and alcohol as well as related mental health issues in Long Island communities. Amanda presents to students K-12 utilizing evidence-based prevention education. Traveling to schools across Long Island, the SAP team discusses New Trends in Substance Use, Healthy Relationships, Stress Management, Social Media and the Digital Age, Mindfulness etc. Amanda and her team provide professional development trainings, conferences, assemblies, and workshops for communities, school districts, and social service agencies on Long Island offering NYSED and OASAS certified Continuing Education Credits for Social Workers, CASAC’s and Mental Health Counselors.

Amanda is a member of the clinical team at LICADD and maintains a diverse caseload of clients including individuals and families providing assessment, interventions and referrals as needed. Her passion for her work drives her to provide a holistic approach in her position at LICADD.
