What do you know about the gang activity taking place in your community? Join Detective Sergeant Michael Marino of the Nassau County Police Department Gang Investigations Squad as he addresses the current MS-13 situation on Long Island and discusses major investigations into gang activity on the local and federal level. You will then be introduced to the SNUG program, an evidence-based violence reduction initiative that works with community residents, businesses and community-based organizations to reduce and prevent shootings. A panel of our SNUG program workers, who are on the front lines everyday addressing gang activity, will talk about their experiences and observations as they intervene in conflicts and promote alternatives to violence in our community.
