This an experiential and didactic workshop on effective communication based on participants understanding their natural communication style and how it impacts results at work. Demonstrations and role-play will be directed toward colleague interaction as well as direct client care. After taking the 4 Degrees of Personality Communication Style Test, group discussion will ensue based on dominant communication styles. Facilitators will lead discussion and analysis of the 4 communication styles, natural challenges, work styles, and preferences. Participants will also role play communication using different scenarios. At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify their dominant communication style
  • Recognize the characteristics of the 4 communication styles in clients and colleagues.
  • Modify their communication approach situationally to achieve best results with client interactions
  • Demonstrate a range of relevant communication skills & strategies
